A large glass of red wine contains about three...

Red red wine...

WOW… Ok - so I just HAVE to tell you about my night last night.  It was FABULOUS!

As you know, yesterday I wrote about “motivation.”  And to be honest - I was writing it more for me, than for you guys.  See - I knew I was going to be going out to one of the nicest restaurants in town with my man (woo hoo!), and I was trying to psych myself up to not blowing my diet!

Originally, I was going to tell you about how I was able to go out for a wonderful dinner and stay completely committed to my weight loss plan.

And I have to tell you the result:  it was a total success… well… kinda.

Let me explain.

You see - as I always say:  my idea of a great weight loss plan is one that allows me some ‘wiggle’ room.  It’s a plan that allows me to celebrate from time to time without worrying about, “am I blowing my plan?”

So yeah… I did “cheat” and stray away from the actual diet.  BUT, the good news is - my plan has allowances for me to do exactly that!

YAY!

So I was able to enjoy an amazing italian dinner with my man!  I was swept off my feet with a dozen red roses and a promise of a post-dinner bubble bath and massage.  The dinner was fantastic - from the appetizers, to the wine, straight through to the scrumptious dessert!  Originally, we were going to share a dessert between the two of us, but we ended up getting one each!  (They were DELICIOUS!!!)

But the best part of it all, was the complete lack of guilt I felt during the whole meal!  I was able to eat that delicious food without fear of completely messing up my diet - because the “wiggle room” is built into the plan! And if  you’re looking for a little “wiggle room” yourself - check out my yayFOOD! weight loss plan review and see if it’s the right thing for you!

You could be closer to that “beach bod” than you think!  I know I am!  ;-)

Weight Loss Systems Exposed - The Seedy Underbelly Of Losing Weight

Have you ever checked out a weight loss system?  What am I thinking - of course you have, that’s probably why you’re reading this note!

In my extensive research of weight loss and weight loss systems, I’ve noticed a disturbing trend - a trend that I’m going to expose today!

As I’m sure I don’t need to tell you - there are an overwhelming number of options out there when it comes to weight loss.  And one of the main reasons I set up this site, was to help you separate the good from the bad.

If you’ve been checking out any of my other notes here, one thing that I think is key (well, for me at any rate) is simplicity.  I need something to be simple, easy to understand, and easy to do.  And it’s not because I have difficulty understanding things - it’s because I simply don’t have the time or energy to spend trying to figure this stuff out!

Nope - like you, I have a full and busy life.  And that’s why I liked the idea of a weight loss system so much.  It’s a system.  It’s like an assembly line for weight loss!

And then I started to look into these weight loss systems - wondering how they work; how quickly I could expect weight loss.

I’m not going to mention any names of the “weight loss systems” that I investigated, because ultimately, they probably do get results for their customers - I just don’t like the way they do business (well - that’s as close as I can get to “if you don’t have anything nice to say… :-) )

But the common threads in the (what I like to call the “bad”) weight loss system, are that they make you take time out of your day to go into their place of business.  Now - on its own, this isn’t the worst thing that can happen to a person.  But if you’re not in the neighborhood, it quickly becomes a hassle.  Also, they tend to force you to purchase some sort of nutritional supplement or food from them.

And while I agree that, at the outset, this seems simple and fool-proof, it doesn’t account for “life” getting in the way.  I found the biggest loophole for these programs was asking the simple question of: what do I do on vacation?  The responses tended to vary from a blank stare, to “try to be good”.  One person even suggested I bring the food with me!

No, a true weight loss system - as far as I’m concerned at least - is something that fits into your life.  So much so that it easily becomes a part of your life.  In other words, it’s a system that moves with YOU, throughout your life - not something you need to become a slave to.

And that’s why I look for weight loss systems that are simple, easy, and adapt to your life - not the other way around.  Because, let’s face it, the odds of success go through the roof when it fits your life already.

Easy Weight Loss - Is It Even Possible?

Easy Weight Loss - Is It Even Possible?

You bet it is!

But there’s huge difference between knowing about easy weight loss, and how to achieve it - and actually taking the steps lose weight.

Don’t worry though, this isn’t going to be a big “rah-rahin-your-face kinda note.  I’m simply going to show you how easy it can be.  Easy enough to start today!

So let’s look at what we think of when we think “easy” - especially when it comes to weight loss.

Generally there are two ways to approach easy:

  1. easy to follow
  2. easy to do

And while those two approaches may seem the same - they’re not.  Something that’s easy to follow, essentially refers to the set of “directions” you take to accomplish something.  With the right set of directions, almost anything can be made easy.

On the flip side, “easy to do” refers to the lack of energy required to actually accomplish a task.  For example, those keyless entry thingy’s we have on our key chain make unlocking our cars, even easier to do than before.

So what if we could find a weight loss plan that was both easy to follow AND easy to do?  Wouldn’t that be a miracle?  Well guess what - they’re out there!

There are weight loss programs out there that don’t make you take weight loss supplements, or starve yourself throughout the day.  They don’t make you take a weight loss pill or force you to drink green tea all day long (although, for the record, green tea is really good for you! :-) ).

Nope, I’m talking about simple to follow programs that will help you lose weight fast without relying on exercising (although, if you want to add that in there - it only makes it better!).  Weight loss programs that are based on a simple foundation, that fit into your busy lifestyle.  Easy weight loss tips that are not only easy to understand, but also easy to DO.  So you don’t have to worry anymore about “am I doing this right?” you just have to worry about buying your new wardrobe!

And the best part is - I’m not just talking about one, easy weight loss plan.  There are a bunch of them!  Some allow you to connect with a community of other people who are trying to lose weight - just like you!  Others give you online tools and resources on their website.  Or send you regular emails to keep you on the right path.  And some just let you alone to take the pounds off.

Whatever works for you, there’s a successful easy weight loss plan that will work for you.  The trick is finding them (and I’ll help you with that), and trying them out.

The Importance of a Great Weight Loss Plan

Well here we are in February now, and I’m still amazed that I’ve been able to keep the weight off for almost a full year!

And that’s why I’m here writing this to you - see, I couldn’t have done it without a solid weight loss plan!

Over the years - especially after the holidays - I’d notice a few extra pounds and invariably, I’d try out the latest diet to try to lose this weight fast and get on with my life.  And each year it got more difficult.  Why?  Well - because with each passing year, I would try some new diet plan, that was supposed to gear me up for losing weight, yet all it would do was increase my hunger without making it any easier to burn the pounds!

But then last year - I decided to try something different.  I decided to try a weight loss plan that was more than just a diet - and more than just exercise.  I decided that 2008 was going to be special.

I looked at all kinds of diets, websites and exercise programs.  But what I wanted was something that was going to go a step further than providing products, supplements and snacks.

Finally I found it!

It was a plan - a weight loss plan.  And it just made a whole bunch of sense to me.  In short - it was the answer.  Well for me at least!  I found that it fit well with my busy lifestyle, was fully fun, and definitely wasn’t one of those fad celebrity diets we always hear about.  This one was special and it worked for me!

So now it’s 2009 and the weight is still off!  I feel great, and I even exercise now - yeah - that’s the best part, with the plan that I used, you only exercise if and when you want.  Now that I’m feeling better with more energy, I’m more excited about toning up my thighs, hips, stomach, arms and well… everything!

And that’s why I started LoseWeightLookGood.com:  because I wanted to share with you - not just the way that I used to lose weight - but ways that make sense and have proven to be effective.  So if you’re looking for a one-stop shop for effective ways to lose weight, and more importantly, great weight loss plans, you’ve come to the right place!
